Mariah Whelan is a poet based in The Centre for New Writing at The University of Manchester where she is writing a new collection of poems and researches trauma and representation.  Her first book the love i do to you is forthcoming from Eyewear Publishing in October 2019 and a pamphlet of poems written while poet-in-residence of The Pitt Rivers Museum, UK the rafters were still burning is forthcoming from Dancing Girl Press in 2020.  Mariah’s poems are currently being exhibited at The Exchange, London as part of an interdisciplinary project exploring collective trauma and meaning-making in the wake of the Manchester bombing. She holds degrees from Queen’s University Belfast and The University of Oxford.
