ROSIE

…here a park     here a pigeon
there a crow     a trace of gold

we can’t go on like this
here a sparrow    a broken flask

     look Rosie    I’m becoming frail
everything makes me

a box of chocolates
     laugh or cry    my skin

a seasoned barrel of ice
of rice     of herring

has a heart of its own
     we could together be

a fist     a twist of light
     …yes, Rosie     something like this
